When Nintendo announced the NES Classic Edition last week, it was the first time the system would be compatible with the Nintendo Switch.
Since then, more devices have come on the market, and Nintendo has released new models, adding the Nintendo DSi, Wii U, and 3DS, to the mix.
With Nintendo Switch now available in the US, the NES Mini, and the Nintendo 3DS XL all come in the same package.
It’s a great system, and while the Nintendo NES Classic is available in both the US and the UK, we’re not sure what it’ll be available to buy in the future.
That’s not to say there’s no future for the NES.
Nintendo announced a new generation of consoles and peripherals at its E3 press conference, but the biggest news is that Nintendo is working on a new console with a completely new design.
The new system will reportedly be called the NESX, and it’ll reportedly be the first Nintendo Switch console that’s not just an updated version of the NES series.
Nintendo hasn’t announced any pricing or release dates, but it’s expected to release sometime in 2019.
It’ll be interesting to see if Nintendo is going to make this new console a true NES Classic and bring it to the US.
We’ve reached out to Nintendo for comment, and will update if we hear back.
The Nintendo Switch was a great console for the Nintendo era, and now it has a new system that’s going to bring back the NES nostalgia.
But we want to hear your thoughts.
